The very tight tolerances (+ 0/-0.01 mm) on the outer diameter enable you to easily adjust the drilling / boring of your folding knife blade shaft. Quenched under vacuum to maintain precise geometry, these shafts have 55Hrc hardness, which makes them very resistant to wear and tear and excellent for withstanding the frequent opening/closing of your knife.
