The Perchlo+ is delivered ready to use, in a liquid state in a 1L bottle. More aggressive than powdered ferro chloride, it not only reveals carbon damascus but also stainless steel grades that need a more powerful attack.
For example, you can use it to blacken the edge of the suminagashi VG10. After passing your Damasteel in a hydrochloric acid bath you can make a second pass with the perchlo + to obtain an even more contrasted etch.
Like all acids, the perchlo + is to be used with the adequate protections (glasses, gloves, mask) in a well ventilated place.
