A ready-to-assemble knife kit.

For knife enthusiasts, do-it-yourselfers and lovers of good craftsmanship, Eurotechni has created this complete knifemaking kit to assemble your own Le London knife.
Made up of parts of the same quality as those used by professional cutlers, this London knife kit is delivered with solid natural olive wood handle plates and detailed assembly instructions.

Excellent quality materials.

This "Home Blade" by Eurotechni knifemaking kit is made up of metal parts of the same quality as the steel used by professional cutlers, whether they are craftsmen or industrialists.
In this knifemaking kit, the parts are cut, drilled and ground. The spring is already hardened according to the rules of the art and the blade has already been ground (bevelled from the back to the edge) and heat-treated to ensure flexibility and hardness for a perfect and long-lasting edge after sharpening.
The solid natural olive wood plates, about 5 mm thick, will dress your knife with originality.

The London: a sailors' knife.

Inspired by the English "Sailor's rope knife" or "Sway back jack" knives, it was around 1850 that this knife appeared in France and was named "Le London". Also called "Terre-Neuvas" or "Gabier", its name alone evokes the harshness of the work of the sea, the morning or evening departures at the tide for distant races and uncertain horizons.
The knife of the convicts of the sea, the stylet (or houndstooth) shape of its blade and its robustness made it possible to cut ropes with a sharp blow, sometimes with the help of a mallet. The usual urgency of the situation made an efficient, functional and reliable tool indispensable.
The rounded shape of the blade was the only one allowed to avoid any serious injury, whether accidental or as a result of the brawls that could break out due to the promiscuity and the endless stays at sea.
This pocket knife is a bit of the ocean in our daily life.
