A Mora carbon steel blade n°3 ready to mount for your Bushcraft knife.

All the advantages of carbon steel for this ready-to-assemble blade: Excellent hardness after heat treatment, good edge retention, as well as resistance to wear and easy resharpening.

All the qualities for a robust and efficient outdoor knife.

This Mora Carbon No. 3 Bushcraft blade will allow you to create your own personalized knife for your hikes, your hunting trips or, why not, go on an adventure and ensure your survival.
No machining is required as the heat treatment, grinding, sharpening and polishing is done by Morakniv, a world famous Swedish designer and manufacturer and official supplier to the Royal Swedish Court.
All blades are press-marked with the Morakniv logo, the words "Made in Sweden" and the type of steel (Carbon or Stainless).

Morakniv and knives.

Morakniv, the creator and manufacturer of these blades, has been established in Mora, Sweden, since 1891.
The speciality of the workshop was then the manufacture of .... wooden snow sledges, traditionally pulled by reindeers.
It is easy to guess in which part of the world Santa Claus lives....
In Sweden as elsewhere, craftsmen used to make themselves certain tools that they lacked for internal use.
Often made of salvaged materials, these tools had to be functional, simple and robust.

In the Morakniv workshop, this was no exception to the rule, so much so that the knives made were increasingly in demand during the travels of merchants and peddlers in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia, even in the far north and the Arctic.
This is how the production of knives overtook that of sledges, which gradually died out.

Certainly, given the hostile environment and harsh living conditions, the Scandinavians had to be able to rely on robust, reliable and practical tools and weapons.

Customize your Bushcraft companion.

Everyone can make the handle in the material of their choice and even combine, mix and match materials (wood, metal, leather, etc.).
The shape of the handle will reflect the imagination of the knife maker without neglecting the practical side of a good grip.
Be creative!

Making the handle of your Bushcraft knife.

To make the handle of your Bushcraft knife, you have the main tools in you: your imagination and your creativity.
For the technical realization, a common tool will do the job perfectly and very good quality video tutorials are available on the Internet (e.g.: making a knife handle with a Mora blade).

You have acquired your Mora carbon blade n° 3 Bushcraft ?
You have selected the material(s) for the handle ?
You have the basic tools ?
Then it's up to you!
