Richlite is an ecological handles material for high quality knife handles made from cellulose fibers (paper layers) and thermosetting resin.
The black ecological handles material is deep, rich, velvety, like jet stone, almost reminiscent of the color of slate. It is by far the most popular color in the line because it retains its consistency and hue over time.

A guarantee of quality
To achieve the best possible balance and stability, the American company Richlite alternates the direction of the paper when stacking the sheets. This process is done by hand. Then they are hot pressed to bind them and obtain a strong, dense and machinable material (drilling, tapping,...), all homogeneous and without gaps. The result of this ecological handles material is a soft, mottled aesthetic that feels like leather in your hand.
Richlite, since 1943
At the forefront of environmental protection, Richlite began its activity by developing natural fiber composites for aerospace and industry in 1943. Then, this material opened up to the maritime field by being used in the construction of boats. Since the 60's, Richlite is more and more used in the food industry, especially in professional kitchens.
