Designed and manufactured by Novawood, a supplier of stabilized wood renowned for its know-how and the quality of its blocks and scales, Novacure resin for wood stabilization has been specially designed and developed for optimal, long-lasting and qualitative stabilization of your wood blocks and scales.

Novacure resin is delivered in a compact and practical 3 kg drum, with its small bottle of activator.

Simple or colored stabilization with our various dyes.

Novacure resin for wood stabilization can be used "natural", to preserve the shine and color of the wood species you choose to stabilize. You can also add, before stabilization, one of the many Novacure dyes available online, sold separately.

Precautions for using Novacure resin

For an optimal stabilization of your wood blocks and scales, please take the following precautions :

Use Novacure resin only in a ventilated room, or outdoors.
Wear resistant gloves and protective glasses.
Do not decant cans or bottles of activator.

Empty Novacure resin drums and small bottles of activator can be disposed of with household waste.

What types of wood can I stabilize ? Which wood species can't be stabilized ?

You can stabilize most wood species with Novacure resin. However, some wood species, because of their grain or density (among other factors), will not give the best possible results, even when properly dried. Below is a list of wood species that do not lend themselves well to stabilization:

"Fresh" oak woods (excluding Bog Oak, which can be stabilized pretty well);
All Dalbergias and tropical hardwoods such as Bubinga, white and black ebony, bocote, ziricote, snakewood, grenadill;
Redwood;
Olive wood;
Desert ironwood, already dense at its natural state;
All kind of pine woods, which contain natural resins.

We always recommend, before stabilizing a piece, to perform a stabilization test on a piece of wood or on a scrap.
