Assemble your own Laguiole folding knife with full handle.

With the "Home Blade" Laguiole full handle kit by Eurotechni, you can easily assemble your own folding knife.
This kit with components entirely made in France is ideal for beginners in learning the secrets of assembling pocket knives.
The so-called "full handle" knives have no bolsters, i.e. the decorative parts on the front and/or back of the handle. Here, the emphasis is on the material of the handle and the talent of the cutler.

Composition of the kit.

The kit contains :
- A Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel blade already hardened and ground to a flat edge, whose length is 12 centimeters. It is engraved with the rhinoceros, symbol present on Eurotechni new logo.
- Two stainless steel plates with holes.
- A forged spring already hardened and guilloche-engraved with a welded bee.
- Stainless steel rivets to assemble your knife.
- Two olive wood plates 32mm x 130mm (1.26in x 5.12in), thickness 5mm (0.197in).
- A black protective sheath.

Discover or rediscover the ancestral gestures of the knife maker.

The assembly of your knife will teach you the knifemaker's gestures and the meticulousness of the adjustments.
Accessible to all do-it-yourselfers, the assembly is carried out with simple equipment that we all have on our workbench (a file, sandpaper, a hammer, a drill, a vice). Just follow the instructions in the leaflet included in your kit to make your own Laguiole pocket knife.
Your kit includes two 5mm (0.197in) thick solid olive wood plates with original natural grain.
It is on the handle that all the creativity of the cutler is expressed, who will shape it according to his imagination and talents.
From the simplest to the most elaborate, the shaping of the handle makes your Laguiole knife a unique object.

And why not a personalized laser marking on your Laguiole knife?

Each of the metal parts of your knife kit can be decorated by us with a professional laser marking for a unique price of 6.83 €uros TTC (decreasing according to the quantities). Whether it's a text or a logo, just send us the model by e-mail to hello@eurotechni.fr indicating the chosen location.

Professional materials.

The Home Blade By Eurotechni full handle Laguiole knife is made up of ready-to-assemble components made from the same materials as those used by cutlery professionals, a guarantee of solidity and longevity.
The blade is made of 12C27M stainless steel from the world famous Swedish manufacturer Sandvik. It is hardened using a special heat treatment process which increases its hardness and resistance to external aggression and oxidation. This treatment also ensures that the blade has a high cutting performance after sharpening and polishing.

The plates, the backbone of your Laguiole knife, are made of stainless steel, a steel that keeps it supple and strong.

The spring of your knife is made of stainless steel, a steel whichallows a good flexibility in all circumstances.
The spring has undergone a special hardening process that gives it the flexibility to open and close the blade without breaking. Naturally, the famous bee is present, carefully welded onto the spring.

The stainless steel rivets are to be cut during the assembly of your knife to a sufficient length to allow the final fixing of the assembly (see the included assembly instructions).

Caution: The rivet used for the blade axle (the shortest) is slightly larger in diameter than the other rivets. Do not use other rivets (the longer ones) for the blade assembly.

Your knife, made with our Home Blade By Eurotechni kit is made to last.

However, be careful not to let it sit in water or put it in the dishwasher. Remember to wipe it thoroughly after each use: although the steels are rigorously selected for their resistance to oxidation, the material of the handle could suffer irreversible damage.

Laguiole, a name, a legend.

Laguiole is a name well known to all cutlers, collectors and knife lovers. Since the end of the 18th century, the town of Laguiole, in the Aveyron region, has cultivated the cutlery tradition with its characteristically shaped models adorned with the famous bee, which was first affixed to the Laguiole spring in 1909 by Jules Calmels, grandson of the creator of these knives.
