Vulcanized fibre is a composite material made from cotton and/or cellulose fibres. Stable, elastic, light and dense, it is particularly interesting when used as an interlayer on a knife handle: placed between the platinum and a precious material (mammoth ivory, horn...), it helps avoid the breakage of the latter. Vulcanized fibre interlayers for cutlery are sold individually in two different thicknesses to meet all your needs.
