Iron perchloride (FeCl3), also known as ferric chloride, is a chemical compound that forms a brown acid solution after dilution. It is used in many areas where an acid attack is needed on a metal (copper, stainless steel or carbon).
Iron perchloride is a must for the revelation of Damascus. Rather effective on carbon steel damas, this version of iron perchloride will not be sufficient for a contrasting revelation of an Inox Damascus.
Ideal for the realization of stonewashed or forced patina finish.
