The Damacore DC21R is a mixture of two alloys, obtained by powder metallurgy. The central core of the Damacore DC21R is made of RWL34, which is well known by knifemakers for its many technical qualities: hardness, quality and edge retention, corrosion resistance... It has it all! The layers surrounding the sides of the central core are made of a mixture of RWL34 and PMC27, two alloys already used by Damasteel in the design of its DS93X Damascus steel range, all available on our website.
A mirror finish for a different result than Damacore DC18N.
The central core of Damacore DC18N, another Damasteel steel available on our website, is made of a central core in N11X, which darkens considerably upon etching. The central core in RWL34 of the Damacore DC21R remains clear, allowing a striking play of etching depending on the medium used. Mirror polished, a blade made of Damacore DC21R will give a unique result, underlining the finesse of the chosen patterns.
