A melting furnace is usually used in the world of goldsmithing, to melt and remelt precious metals : gold and silver. Averted from its usual use, it also proves particularly interesting for cutlery, for remelting gold or silver offcuts and casting bolsters, for example. A high melting capacity for casting precious metals.
As its name suggests, the KG2 melting furnace has a melting capacity of 2 kilos. Capable of reaching and maintaining a temperature of 1150°C, the KG2 melting furnace is ideal for melting silver (962°C) and gold (1064°C). The KG2 melting furnace is supplied with a thermoregulator, a pair of tongs and a graphite crucible. Every Prederi melting furnace comes with a one-year warranty, and is shipped free of charge throughout Europe.
