SureTouch is one of the latest developments from UltreX, a subsidiary of Norplex Micarta, already renowned for its expertise in composite materials. What makes the SureTouch so technically interesting? SureTouch consists of a succession of layers of G10 (fiberglass and epoxy resin) and rubber, adding the many technical qualities of these two types of materials.
G10 and rubber, strength and resistance
The layers of G10, a rigid and resistant material par excellence, guarantee the material's unfailing strength. The rubber, on the other hand, shines through with its non-slip properties and excellent grip. SureTouch will appeal to the knifemaker who wants to make knives that are intended to be used, such as handles for bushcraft, tactical and outdoor knives. SureTouch is also interesting from an aesthetic point of view, since the different layers can be dyed, giving rise to beautiful color successions once the material is worked and polished.
