A robust tool for robust knives!
The TR Maker manual press for guard assembly is made entirely of 304 stainless steel, from the screws to the wrench. Each kit contains everything you need to easily glue the next guard on your knives: the two parts of the press, 6 special screws and their tightening key.
How to use the manual press for guard assembly ?
Want to get the most out of the TR Maker manual guard mounting press? Here are our tips:
- Place the blade in a vice with the tang up;
- Thread the guard onto the tang after applying your glue;
- Over the guard, thread the lower part of the press, then the upper part, with the screws;
- Screw until the lower part exerts a strong pressure on the guard.
- Loosen the screws after a sufficient drying time.
