The Suminagashi VG1 - 67 layers is composed of a core of VG1 steel, surrounded on each side by 33 layers of unhardened stainless steel, allowing to obtain patterns of a rare elegance after revelation.
VG1 steel, particularly suitable for knife making
The central core of this Suminagashi is made of VG1 steel. VG1 steel is manufactured by Takefu Special Steels, a Japanese company with an established reputation. A concentrate of mastery and know-how: Starting from raw materials composed of very few impurities, VG1 steel benefits from a very precise structure, its composition guaranteeing an excellent resistance to corrosion and wear.
