Coy Baker: a passionate American blacksmith.

Since the age of 14, Coy Baker has never left the mountains of North Carolina, his forge and his hammers.

Passionate about metalworking and fusion forging, he creates, invents, innovates and shakes things up.

In 2016, he founded the Baker Forge & Tool workshops in Zionville, a small town in the Appalachian Mountains in the American heartland of North Carolina, on the borders of Tennessee.

The sound of his hammers has been echoing ever since.

Always on the lookout for new ways to create Damascus steel designs and unique processes, in 2020 Coy Baker developed an exclusive fusion welding technique that enables him to make alloys of carbon steels and non-ferrous metals such as copper, bronze, nickel and stainless steel.

Rigorous tests have shown that the results obtained by Baker Forge Damascus alloys exceed the strength of alloys produced by conventional fusion welding processes, particularly in terms of resistance to shear tests.
