Want a gentle introduction to knife making? You want to learn cutlery gently? Our Home Blade Santoku kitchen knife kit is made for you!
«Home Blade» - Make your own Santoku kitchen knife.
Of Japanese origin, the Santoku kitchen knife means «three virtues» for its 3 features: cutting, slicing and chopping. With its unique and very recognizable shape, it allows both to cut meat, like fish and vegetables.
A quality of professional.
In this Home Blade cutlery kit, you can find the materials used by professionals:
- A Santoku kitchen knife blade in 14C28N (high carbon content that allows to be sharper).
- A rivet also commonly called stainless rods Ø3mm.
- A pair of natural olive tree wood scales.
- A set of instructions.
- Knife blade tip protector.
Hardened and polished Santoku blades, ready to assemble.
The 14C28N Santoku blade blanks have already been hardened and polished: the most critical steps have already been completed according to the temperatures and processes recommended by Alleima (formerly Sandvik). All you have to do is shape the handle to your liking: the end of the handle and the number of holes that cover it will allow you to give it a large number of shapes.
Alleima’s 14C28N, a high quality Swedish steel.
These Santoku blade blanks are made of 14C28N from Alleima (formerly Sandvik), a Swedish company specialized in the production of razor steels. This grade of stainless steel guarantees exceptional sharpness, excellent corrosion resistance, and excellent sharpening ability. The very fine grain of 14C28N stainless steel also protects it from cracks and other fissures, which cause corrosion by water penetration in its structure. This grade of Swedish steel is therefore ideal for kitchen knives!
