Motul Thermic INO235 highly accelerated quenching oil.
Thermic INO 235 is a highly accelerated fluid quenching oil formulated from synthetic base oils derived from natural gas - free of mineral oils, heavy metals, sulfur, zinc, chlorine and aromatic compounds. It is particularly suitable for hardening high carbon steels without alloying elements that require rapid cooling. Specifically designed for quenching, it is more durable than basic vegetable oil (such as rapeseed oil), and allows for superb quench lines (hamon). Thermic INO 235 highly accelerated hardening oil has many advantages for knife makers:
- Oil evaporation is reduced;
- Its composition reduces the risks of deformation and tapping during immersion;
We advise you to heat the oil to about 40°C before use.
