Native to Asia and scientifically known as Pterocarpus indicus, Amboine wood, also known as "dragon blood", takes its name from the island where it was discovered. This precious species is used in a variety of fields, including cutlery, marquetry and veneering, thanks to its subtle, refined patterns.
Amboyna burl scales, stabilized and dyed blue, for unique handles
These rare, uniquely aesthetic scales have been blue-stabilised, giving them bluish tones tending towards turquoise, further highlighting their absolutely exceptional veining. These pairs of inserts have been stabilised with NOVACURE resin, preserving the wood and preventing any deterioration in colour.
