Coy Baker Forge & Tool: a young blacksmith with recognised talent.
Baker Forge is the story of a young American with a passion for forging steel.
Coy Baker set up his forge in the mountains of western North Carolina in 2016.
Curious, adventurous and always ahead of his time, Coy Baker has carried out numerous trials, tests and experiments to produce original and resistant damascus steels.
In 2020, Baker Forge developed a technique for fusion-welding copper to carbon steel.
The assemblies proved to be far superior to those produced by traditional methods.
After shear tests, the strength obtained far exceeds that of joints made using standard methods.
The resulting product was named "Coppermascus".
Since then, Baker Forge has extended this process to other alloys, creating multi-layer steels combining Damascus steel, stainless steel grid and special steels to develop unique knife models.
Talent has done the rest to give Coy Baker and Baker Forge a worldwide reputation.
