Uddeholm's Elmax SuperClean steel is a perfectly balanced powder metallurgical steel. It has been designed to easily exceed 60Hrc and combine corrosion resistance with edge strength. It is the ideal steel for the manufacture of knives for extreme uses!
The superclean production process combined with small sized powder and carbides guarantees trouble-free grinding and polishing

Steel with a remarkable structure:

Uddeholm's manufacturing process, called Superclean, guarantees a very small powder and carbides size, thus guaranteeing grinding and polishing without any appearance problems. Ductility tests carried out in the steel manufacturer's laboratories have shown that ELMAX has maximum hardness and superior performance to most other grades of cutlery in powder metallurgy.
